Marie Day Jenkins

Marie Day Jenkins, 69, of Wilmington, NC, died Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, at her home. She was born in Salt Lick, KY, November 13, 1938, daughter of the late Virgil and Ida Mae Day. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Sunderland, granddaughter, Ashleigh Spaulding, grandson, Jordan Spaulding, great-grandson, Jonah Spaulding of Wilmington, NC; daughter Lisa Robertson and husband, Mike, grandson Paul Robertson, granddaughter, Kelsey Robertson of Kure Beach, NC; daughter, Ronda Meehling and husband, David, grandson, Ryan Meehling of Wilmington, NC; brother, William Day and wife, Kathy of Young Harris, GA, brother, Gene Day and wife Blanche of Salt Lick, KY; sister, Wanda McFarland and husband, Harry of Salt Lick, KY; and many nieces and nephews. A service will be held at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, March 29, 2008, in the Lakeview Community Church, 581 Cave Run Lake Road, Salt Lick, KY. Brother Guy McKenzie and Brother James Allen will officiate and interment will follow in Jones Cemetery in Midland, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC, 28401.
