Marilyn Dorothea Ellis Minard, 81, died Sunday at Brunswick Cove Health Care Center. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 29, 1927 to Thomas William Ellis and Dorothea Elizabeth Bonnington Ellis. Marilyn was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Wilmington. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold Raymond Minard; son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Cathy Minard of Ayden, NC; grandchildren, Leslie and Casey Minard; sister and brother in law, Elizabeth and Eugene DiRusso of Fredericksburg, VA; nieces, Patricia Ann O'Brien and Susan Elizabeth Hart, and nephew, Thomas Eugene DiRusso. A memorial service will be held 1 pm Wednesday at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1401 S. College Rd., Wilmington.
