Marjory M. Albea Burgess

She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward McAlister, husband William Junior Burgess, mother Edna Arthurs, and step father William “Red” Arthurs.

She is survived by two brothers, Bobby Lee Albea and wife Alice, of Castle Hayne, Kenneth Albea and wife Carleta of Leland; grandson, Chad McAlister and wife Quanna of Gastonia, granddaughter Sonia Surratt and husband Kevin of Gastonia; two great-grandsons Colin and Jayden; nieces and nephews; loving friend and caretaker, Sandra Shull; and canine kids, Peaches and Rusty.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Wilmington for years, but attended A Closer Walk Church in Leland. She would like to bid farewell to her customers, she served at Justin’s, The Sally Shop and Friendlys.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park with close friend and pastor, Reverend Terry Lee Buckner officiating.
