Martha Cooper Ingold

Martha Cooper Ingold, 86, of Wilmington, NC died Sunday, May 10, 2015 with her children at her side. She was born September 20, 1928 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late William Clifford and Frances Ray Johnson Cooper. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Foreman Ingold and her brother Billy Cooper. After earning her degree as a Registered Nurse at Watts Hospital in Durham . She moved to Mt. Gilead, NC. On her first day there, she met Bill Ingold who would later become her husband. Surviving are her three children, Laura Ingold of Greensboro, NC, Charles Ingold and wife Kay of Wilmington, NC, and Alan Ingold and wife Toni of Rocky Point, NC; six grandchildren, Jason, Joshua and wife Nicki, McKenzie and her fiancée Matty, William, Cooper, and Gerrad; two great grandchildren, Andrew and Cameron; and her very close first cousins as well as Billy's family. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Oakdale Cemetery.
