She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on February 24, 1954 to John and Margaret Harkrader.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John K. Harkrader.
She graduated for Virginia Tech. with a BS in Horticulture. She worked in the floral industry, Operator for the Telephone Company, Radio Dispatcher for emergency services in Blacksburg, VA, and finally Product Demo for Sam’s Club before retiring in 2018.
Her favorite things to do were Fishing, Beach Combing, Quilting, Cooking, and Crafts. She was quite skilled in Cake Decorating and Floral Arrangements and did so for a good number of weddings.
She is survived by: her Husband Stephen Allen, Daughter Samantha Martin (and her husband Keith Martin), and, her Son Daniel Allen (with his wife Cory Allen and their two children Brody and Cameron).
She is being cremated and her ashes will be scattered at the beach where she was truly happy.
