Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Fancher

Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Fancher, age 95, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022. Mary was born on February 21, 1927. She was born in Alabama but made a life her in Wilmington NC for the last 50 years. She was a wonderful mother of 6 children that will miss her greatly. She was employed at Whitey’s Restaurant for over 40 years and made many lifelong friends before it closed. She is survived by all 6 of her children Mary Catherine Wilson, Billie Jean Eddy, William (Bill) Fancher, Elizabeth Annette Wallace, Henry Jack Fancher and Rebecca, Lou Fancher Smith and Jim. She has 15 grandchildren 26 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Rev George Potter and Rev Jerry Andrews will officiate the graveside service. A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, August 12, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412. A graveside service will occur Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC, N.C. 28409.
