Mary was born on August 18, 1939 in Wilmington, NC daughter to David Chow Lem and Nellie Beck Lem. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hodges; granddaughter, Christy White; brother, Darrel Creech and brother, Richard Berkemeier.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Burke; grand daughter, Jacqueline Soro; great grandchildren: Christian Gloede, McKenzie Gloede and Rylee Gloede; sisters, Margaret Hockett and Beverly Lem.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday October 23, 2026 at Coble Chapel with Pastor Carey Horrell officiating, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
