She was an original Babylon girl. At 16, her first job was at Jones Beach. Her love of the beach was life long, piling the kids in the car to go to Robert Moses beach all summer.
She stayed local to Babylon a majority of her life, marrying and raising 2 daughters. She worked for the Santapogue elementary school and West Babylon high school. Among her other loves, not in any particular order was Tom Jones, being Irish, travel, bingo, her faith, service to her church, friends and community. Friends will miss their yearly homemade birthday cards as well as the yearly Christmas newsletter.
After retiring, she moved to Wilmington, NC and continued her active life in her community. She committed her time to giving back to her community and her church. Not one to sit still, she continued her daily walks, started a local chapter of the Columbiettes and raised money for Breast Cancer research. She loved to maintain her hair and nails, furthermore, she dressed up every holiday with compassion.
And her greatest love was family. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Kim and Kerrie-Ann ( husband R.L.), her 5 grandchildren: Adam, Alicia, Brendan, O’Neal, Morgan, and 4 step grandchildren: Kimya, Brandon, Ryan, Ray-Anna. Along with her 5 great-grandchildren: Joielle, Samuel, Isabella, Oliver, Miles. All were able to be part of her long & loving life.
Special thanks to Corinne, Lula, Stephanie and Nicole for providing excellent care during her most vulnerable time.
