Michael Louis Braswell

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on January 23,1960, to the late Paul and Jean Braswell. Later moving to Summit, NJ where he graduated from Summit High School in 1979. Mike was a beloved husband, father, brother, poppa, and friend.

A proud Veteran of the US Navy Seabees serving from 1980 to 1984 where he was honorably discharged and returned to New Jersey to join the Union Hall and continue his work as a skilled carpenter.

Michael then began a lifetime journey with his beloved wife, Cynthia Braswell, when they tied the knot on September 10,1988. Followed by moving to North Carolina in 1997 where he was able to build their dream home and cherish many memories.

Alongside with his family he was a wonderful supporter and active member of the American Legion thru Post 167 of Hampstead NC. Later moving up to the State and National level.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia Braswell. While survived by his three children, Jacob Braswell (Ashley McKeithan), Katelyn Brayboy (Tyler Brayboy), Matthew Braswell (Tayler Braswell), his two grandchildren Lydia Braswell and Jaxson Brayboy, and many other loving family members

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Friday, December 6, 2024, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel with the family again receiving friends beginning at 1:00 pm.  Burial will immediately follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park.
