Michael Carey Farrow

Michael Carey Farrow, 18, of Wilmington, NC, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 2, 1994, in Wilmington, NC. Despite his physical challenges, Michael embraced life with a loving, courageous and friendly spirit. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. Surviving is his mother, Kimberly Lewis; father, Michael James Farrow; one brother, Zachary Lewis; grandfather, Simon Gaggy Suggs; cousins, Payge Stanley, Payton Stanley and Preston Stanley; his maternal great-grandmother, Goldie Baldwin; several aunts and uncles including a special aunt Annie; and his best friend and canine companion ""Scooby Doo"". Also remembered is his grandmother, Penny Suggs who passed away in 2010 and his Aunt Libby Stanley who preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel with Rev. Sam Gore officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the local Make-A-Wish Foundation in Michael's memory.
