Michael Foley McDaniel

Michael was born in Wilmington, NC on July 29th, 1936 to the late Paul Seavy and Louise Fox McDaniel. He was preceded in death two older brothers Paul Joseph McDaniel (Sunny) and John Garland McDaniel Sr. (Garry), and two daughters, Gina Ann McDaniel and Margaret Louise Bland. 

Michael served four years in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific fleet on the USS Collett as an electronics technician. Upon his return home and earning an associate’s degree from UNCW, he began his 40+ year career in civil engineering with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. After retiring, he returned to work in airport construction with Talbert & Bright Inc. as a consultant. 

He was a loving and faithful husband to his wife Annie Laurie Kellum, and is survived by daughters Laura, Michelle, Louise, and Georgia, 10 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Michael and Laurie formed many great friendships over the years through their love of music and dancing.
