She was born in Graham, NC, on August 10. 1932, the daughter of the late Taylor Talton Johnson and Cleta Cealo McBane Johnson. Also remembered are her five brothers, Herman G., Frank W., Fred M., Jack and Joseph Johnson, all of whom preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Eugene Greenway; two sons, Donald E. Greenway and wife Pam of Spartanburg, SC and Curtis L. Greenway and wife Robin of Wilmington, NC; two grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher Greenway; and numerous other extended family.
Mildred was a member of Ogden Baptist Church where she was a past treasurer and worked in the nursery.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday, September 11, 2023, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel with a burial to follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am.
