Nickolas Voulgaris, age 77 passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born April 2, 1946 in Hydra, Greece, to Maria and Michael Voulgaris. Nick is survived by his wife Doreen, (married 48 years), his son Michael (married to Katie), his daughter Antoinette, and his two granddaughters, Sarah and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his brother, Evangelos, and his sister, Pelagea (Bilitsa).
Nick was the youngest of 10 siblings. He immigrated to America in his early 20’s to play professional soccer before becoming a successful restaurateur (Olympia Restaurant) for over 40 years. May we never forget his generous heart, his infectious smile, his love for storytelling and his ability to make us laugh. May he Rest in Peace.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Coble Funeral Home, 1155 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC. The family will be receive friends from 11am -1pm prior to the service.
