She was born in Seoul, Korea on December 3, 1938, to Pok Man Son, and O Kwang Boon.
Okcha enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to be near water whether it was a lake or the ocean, as she was an avid fisher. She enjoyed cooking Korean cuisine as well. She really liked seeing beautiful things and had a loving heart.
She is survived by her sister Aileen Stamm and Brother-in- Law Bert Stamm, and sister Yang Ja Eckman; brother, TaeWhan Son and wife Chunhai; nieces: Donna Stamm and Tina Scott; nephews: Billy Stamm and Tony Son; great-nieces: Alexis and Sophia Stamm; great-nephew: Gabriel Wallace and granddaughters: Nicole Green and Ashley Templeton.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 17, 2024, at 12 noon at the Korean Peace Baptist Church, 320 Military Cut Off Road, Wilmington, North Carolina 28405 with a reception immediately following in the Fellowship Hall.
