Olive "LaVerne" Sharpe

She was born in Erwin, NC to the late Willie Frank Beasley and Lois Parker Beasley. She was also preceded in death her by daughter, Trudy Gray Caulder and 2 brothers and 1 sister.

LaVerne is survived by her husband of 57 years, John R. Sharpe; son, Marshall A. Sharpe and wife Connie; sisters, Lorene Poole and Helen Utly; and 17 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am Friday, December 6, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am in the sanctuary. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northside Baptist Church Building Fund, 2501 N. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28405.
