

He was born on February 14, 1933, in St. John’s, Newfoundland, the son of the late Anthony and Veronica Power Schreiber.
Ollie was a veteran of the US Air Force and later became a LPN while in the Reserves. He was a New York City Fireman and ultimately retired from the Veterans Administration where he had become a registered nurse. He was also a member of the FDNY-Carolinas Retirees Association. In retirement, Ollie loved the beach and also enjoyed bowling and playing cards.
Surviving is his wife, Lorraine McEvoy; one daughter, Denise Costa (Tom); three sons, Oliver Schreiber (Erika), Kurt Schreiber (Erin) and Anthony Schreiber (Barbara); two sisters, Elizabeth Trizzino (Donald) and Carol Sims Ryan (R. James); six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28412.
A funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Wednesday at St. Mark Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC at 2:00 pm.
