

Patricia E. Mann, 73, of Wilmington, NC, died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at her residence after a long battle with PLS/ALS. She was born July 8, 1941, in Jamaica, NY, to the late Robert and Lilyan Padgett Edens. Patricia attended Penn State University and Columbia University and received her Master's degree from William Paterson University. She was employed at the NJ Department of Corrections as their Law Librarian and taught at Old Tappan Schools prior to moving to Lawrenceville, NJ where she taught in the Lawrence Public Schools for 20 years. She also coached in the Montvale Athletic League for over 20 years prior to retiring to Wilmington, NC where she volunteered at the Government Center and prepared meals for Meals on Wheels. Patricia was an avid Penn State and NY Giants fan. Survivors include her daughter, Dana Padgett Mann of Leland, NC; son, Nevin Johnson Mann and wife Lisa of Jackson, NJ; grandchildren, Tai, Brooklyn and Kiera Mann; sister, Connie Pilla of Wilmington, NC; brother, Robert Edens and wife Stella of Arizona City, AZ; nieces and nephew, Jacqueline Stein (goddaughter), Michele Vie, and Bobby Edens; and cousins, Bunkie, Carol, Jan, and Alisa. The family will receive visitors from 4-6pm, Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. Burial will take place at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.
