Patrick Lee Burke

            Patrick Lee “Casper” Burke, 52, of Wilmington, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at home.

            Patrick was born April 20, 1964 in Wilmington, NC, son of Edmund E. Burke and the late Anne Rhodes Burke.

            He was a parishioner of the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary. He liked music and gardening and had a passion for weightlifting and fishing.  Patrick worked in the wholesale seafood industry at Hanover Packing and Seaview Crab Company.

          In addition to his father and stepmother, Paula Faraday, he is survived by his daughter, Amanda Wilson (Michael),  two grandchildren, Cadin and Brayden of Quantico, Virginia; sister, Sharon Bowen (Dave), two brothers, James Burke and Robert Burke (Pam), and three nieces, Katie, Skylar and Zhoie, all of Wilmington.

            A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary with Rev. Bob Kus officiating.

           The family is planning a gathering of friends at a date and place yet to be determined.

            In lieu of floral tributes donations may be made to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
