Paula Whittaker Alley

Paula was born in 1946 to Opal and Everett Whittaker in Norton, Virginia. She was the youngest of four siblings and spent her childhood in Northern Virginia. Paula met the love of life, Glen Alley, when she was a senior at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. They were married for 57 years and raised two children, Beth and Daniel.

Paula’s creativity and sense of style were evident throughout her life, especially during her years as a beautician and in floral design. She was an avid reader and gardener, and very well versed in current events. She will be remembered lovingly for her tremendous will, feisty spirit, kindness, amazing blue eyes and enveloping smile, and most especially love of life and family.

She is survived by her husband, Glen Alley, children Beth and Daniel (Rachel); grandchildren Emma and Connor; brother Ron (Betty) Whittaker, and brother Edgar (Diane) Whittaker.
