Peggy Jordan Henderson

Peggy Jordan Henderson, 79, of Wilmington, NC, died Friday, November 5, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Peggy was born in New Hanover Co., NC on December 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Richard and Thelma Boylan Jordan. She was a member of the Wrightsboro Baptist Church and retired from the N.C. Department of Corrections. She was a loving mother and grandmother, ?MawMaw? and will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her three children, Melinda Burckhalter and husband, Donald of Leland, NC, Wendy Hendricks and husband, James and Bruce Henderson and wife, Billie all of Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren, Katie Burckhalter Watson, Nick Morris and wife, Sarah, and Jordan Henderson; three great grandchildren, Valaney Hambrick, William Watson, and Eve Morris; two sisters, Joyce Snow of Rocky Mount, NC and Jean Johnson of Valdosta, GA; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 ? 2:00 pm Tuesday at Wrightsboro Baptist Church in the old fellowship hall. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Wrightsboro Baptist Church by Rev. Keith Hollar. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wrightsboro Baptist Church Building Fund, 2736 Castle Hayne Road, Wilmington, NC 28401. The family would like to say thanks to Mike and Chad, nurses at NHRMC STICU and also Dr. Charles Almond and his staff for their wonderful care of Peggy.
