Phillip Da San Martino Sr.

Phillip Da San Martino Sr., age 81 of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away peacefully surrounded by many loved ones on December 23, 2021. He was born in San Francisco, CA. on June 3,1940 to Paul and Mildred Da San Martino.

In addition to his parents Phillip was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his three children Bonnie Bendall, second wife Barbara Worsham and brother Paul Jr.

Phillip lived his early adult years in Richmond, VA where he worked in sales for several moving/storage companies and a window manufacturer. He retired in 2000 and moved to Wilmington, NC where he married Sherron Barbee. In 2004, Phillip opened his own successful business, Paint-n-Play, a ceramics studio. Phillip and Sherron operated the business together until retiring for good and selling the business in October of 2020. All who knew Phillip will tell you that few others have as big and loving a heart as Phillip did.

Phillip is survived by his wife Sherron; daughters Denise and Deanne; son Phillip Jr.; grandsons Edward and Evan; stepchildren Misty, Brandy and Kasey; and many great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to honor his memory could make a donation to their local ASPCA in honor of Phillip’s huge heart and love for his dogs.
