Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Bullard Benson, her grandson Austin Terry Whitley and her sister Patricia Williams.
Joanne cherished every moment with her beloved family, always making them a priority. She had a deep affection for her friends and looked forward to Sunday services at church. An enthusiastic yard sale enthusiast and enjoyed the thrill of the hunt.
She is survived by her two sons: Jackie Bullard and wife Carmen of Leland, NC and Shane Bullard of Wilmington, NC; one grandson, Cody Bullard, son-in-law Billy Benson and brother, Alvin Helton of Castle Hayne, NC.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11: 00 am on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd Wilmington, NC 28412 with Pastor Billy Fowler officiating.
