Mr. Randolph Ladd Coble Sr.

Randy was born in Alamance County, NC on January 13, 1914 and was the son of the late Claude F. and Bessie Holiday Coble. He was predeceased by his first wife, Iona Elaine “Billie” Coble who died in December 1974.

Randy graduated from Gupton-Jones Mortuary College, Nashville, TN and was the founder and former owner of Coble Funeral Service and Oleander Memorial Gardens. He was a current member of 1st Presbyterian Church, Titusville, FL and was a past member of St. John’s Lodge; the Sudan Temple; the Junior Order, the Wilmington Rotary Club and the Little Chapel on The Boardwalk Presbyterian Church, Wrightsville Beach.

Surviving are his wife Christine J. “Chris” Coble of Titusville, FL; a daughter, Marsha E. Coleman (Jerry) of Titusville, FL, two sons, Randolph L “Randy” Coble, Jr. (Mary Jane) of Wilmington and John C. Coble, Sr. (Nancy) of North Myrtle Beach, SC; two step-daughters, Linda Beckwith (Russell) of Titusville, FL and Lori Angel (Steve) of Ridgefield, CT; a step-son, Robert “Bobby” Wooten (Gail) of Oak Island, NC; a sister, Frances Whitt of Snow Camp, NC; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; six step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 29th, 2010 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, Oleander Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service; Inurnment will be at 4:00 PM at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made in Randy’s memory to the charity of one’s own choice.
