Ransom Charles Johnson, Sr., age 84 of Castle Hayne, NC went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2024, while at his home in Castle Hayne. He was born December 7, 1939 in Duplin County North Carolina and grew up in Wilmington, NC. He lived a blessed life.
Charles was a proud graduate of New Hanover High School and then attended Wilmington College. His first job was at the local A&P Grocery Store, where he met lots of friends and soon to be wife, Barbara. Charles was an Eagle Scout, Shriner, Mason and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Charles is survived by his two sons, Ransom Charles Johnson, Jr of Wilmington, NC, Keith Landen Johnson and wife Jennifer of Burgaw, NC and grandchildren, Brooke, Landen and Parker.
A visitation will be held at 1:00pm – 2:00pm on Friday, February 16, 2024 at St Andrews Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1416 Market St. Wilmington, NC with the Funeral Service following at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd. Wilmington, NC.
