OBITUARY
Raymond Joseph Spillane
March 1, 1933 – January 8, 2021
Raymond Joseph Spillane, 87, of Hampstead, NC passed away on January 8th, 2021. He was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on March 1st, 1933 to Raymond E. and Catherine Spillane.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Syble Crumby Spillane, and infant son, Michael.
He retired after a 21-year career in the United States Marine Corps as a Captain, and then went on to establish the Electronics program at Craven Community College, where he instructed for over 20 years.
He is survived by sons Raymond Spillane, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Apex, NC, Donald Spillane and wife, Jill of Cary, NC, David Spillane and wife, Mandy of Panama City, FL, and Richard Spillane and wife, Dana of Hampstead, NC; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister Virginia Godard of South Hadley, MA.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church in Hampstead.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the LAMB Foundation in care of the Hap Hansen Knights of Columbus Council in Hampstead.
