

Rev. Andrew Lacy Todd - retired, 91, of Wilmington, died Saturday, June 12, 2014, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1923, in Tabor City, NC, to the late Andrew Todd and Ida Mae McCumbee Todd. Lacy served the Lord for over 60 years with more than 50 years as pastor at Southport Church of God and Bolton Church of God. After his retirement, he was a member of Wrightsville Avenue Church of God. He also worked as a checker foreman at the State Port for 15 years. His church and family were always very important to him. In his free time, Lacy was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Stevens Todd; three brothers; four sisters and granddaughter, Patrice Todd. Survivors include his sons, Jerry A. Todd and wife Margaret of Leland and Lacy Kenneth Todd and wife Carolyn of Wilmington; grandchildren, Stephen, Michael and wife Dana; great-grandchildren, Parker, Ashlyn, Ava and Addison Todd and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11am, Monday, June 16, 2014, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel, with Bishop Marvin Gwinn officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10am, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Special thanks to Dee and Ana for their love and caring for Mr. Todd during his final months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Wrightsville Avenue Church of God.
