He was born in Wilmington, NC on August 13, 1953 to Eugene and Geraldine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Wes Harden, and brother David Pridgen.
Rick worked for 28 years for Piedmont Gas as a service technician.
He enjoyed surfing, building and flying RC/model planes, driving his corvette and traveling with his wife Rose.
He is survived by his wife Rose Ryninger Pridgen, his son Paul Pridgen and his wife Emilie, and grandson Paul Thomas Pridgen.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Friday July 17, 2026 at Oleander Memorial Gardens
A graveside service will start at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center.
