

He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on April 2, 1959 to Arnold and Linda Summers.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Summers and Linda Pauley; his youngest brother, Charles Summers; his father in-law and mother in-law, Jimmy and Nellie Parker, who played an important role in his life.
Rick was a great woodworker. He could make anything out of wood, he also had a passion for trains.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa A. Parker Summers; his oldest son, Mason Parker and his wife Jessica; his daughter, Megan Summers; Tyler Summers, Shawn Summers, Trent Summers; 3 grandsons, Bryan Summers, Bentley Summers, Brailyn Summers and a granddaughter, Kinsley; step-mom, Mary Summers of Leland, NC; siblings: Robin Cornish, Arnold Summers, Jr and Deniase King all of West Virginia, Donna Moncus and Shannon Johnson of North Carolina and Timothy Huffman of South Carolina ; brothers-in-law, Lonnie Parker of Kentucky and Michael Parker of North Carolina. Rick Had 9 nephews, 6 nieces, 11 great nephews and 10 great nieces.
Rick loved his family with every fiber of his being and will be missed very much.
