Rita "Peggy" Bobb

Born November 19, 1923 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late John J. Doyle and Margaret (McLean) Doyle. Peggy and her husband Marion (Sully) were longtime residents of Los Prados in Las Vegas and truly enjoyed their retirement years playing golf and spending quality time with their many friends. Prior to their retirement they resided in Falls Church, Virginia, where Peggy was a homemaker to her four children.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Marion L. (Sully) Bobb. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, sisters, and (in-laws) Tom (Margaret), Eileen (Fred Eyerman), John (Ruth), Ned (Elsie), Mary Ann (Charles Clager), Bernard (Anita), James, Larry, Bob (Katherine), Rose (Kenneth Seeley) and Dick. She was also preceded in death by son-in-law Steven Belt.

Surviving are her children Mary Ellen Bobb of McLean, Virginia, Rose Marie McGowan and her husband John McGowan of Leland, North Carolina, William Bobb and his wife Lynn of Hamilton, Virginia, and Christine Belt of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Norma Doyle of Columbus, Ohio and Mary Lou Doyle of Newbury Park, California.

Also surviving Peggy are her much adored grandchildren, Annie Frandano (Greg), Katie Vaccaro (Pete), Colleen McGowan, JJ McGowan (Debbie), Katherine Majesta (Lonnie), Steven Belt, Natalie Bobb, and Mary Rose Belt; and equally adored great grandchildren, Oliver, Jack, Lola, Samantha, Johnny, Elena, Godric, Aria, and Samara and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary’s in Wilmington, North Carolina at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 24th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to www.specialove.org for families battling pediatric cancer.
