

Robert "Bob" Jarrett Robert Kennedy Jarrett, 87, of Wilmington, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at home. Bob was born July 8, 1926 in Moore County, NC, son of the late Dallas Flobert Jarrett and Marjorie Kennedy Jarrett. His brother, Jerry Jarrett, preceded him in death. Bob graduated from Greensboro Senior High School in 1944. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He served for many years as a Deacon and Elder at Winter Park Presbyterian Church where he was a member of the Andrew Howell Sunday School Class for 50 years. Bob owned Hobart Sales & Service and after retiring from Hobart as an agent, he managed real estate. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, JoAnne Jarrett; two daughters, Rachel Schul (Karl) of Charlotte, NC and Joyce Boyle (Keith) of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Ryan Schul, Heather Schul, Logan Boyle and Haley Boyle; two brothers, James Jarrett of Jamestown, NC and Ralph Jarrett of Greensboro, NC; and two sisters, Margaret Swiggett of Burlington, NC and Barbara Marion of Pleasant Garden, NC. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Friday, December 6, 2013, at Winter Park Presbyterian Church with Rev. Emile Harley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. The family expresses a special "thank you" to Steve Wallace for his kind support. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's name may be made to Winter Park Presbyterian Church, 4501 Wrightsville Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28403.
