Pat lived his life by the motto “I am third”—God first, others second, and himself last. His faith and selflessness were evident in every aspect of his life. He was married to his beloved wife, Laurie Kennedy, for 48 years, and together they built a family rooted in love and faith.
Pat was the proud father of three children: Daniel Kennedy and his wife Katie, Janet Pantermakis and her husband George, and Kimberly Kennedy. He was a devoted grandfather to Avrie Gutschenritter, Lucas Gutschenritter, Bryson Pantermakis, Kendra Kennedy, and Leah Kennedy. He is also survived by his brothers, Kevin Kennedy and his wife Denise, and Brian Kennedy and his wife Kathy, as well as his sister, Elaine Kennedy, along with many nieces and nephews.
Pat’s passions brought him joy throughout his life. He built an impressive train collection and layout, enjoyed golfing, riding his bike, cheering on Duke sports, traveling with his family, and was also a spirited and competitive cornhole player. More than anything, he cherished the time he spent with those he loved most.
Pat’s kindness, generosity, and faith touched all who knew him. He was loved by many and will be remembered as the very best of all of us.
