Robert Floyd Noblett

He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Betty C. Noblett of Wilmington, North Carolina; his four children, Scott Noblett, Tim Noblett, Susan Noblett, and David Noblett; and their spouses, Jason Wiggers, Sherry Noblett, and Kim Noblett. He was also blessed with three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

An avid athlete, Bob had a lifelong love of sports, learning, and leadership. He graduated from Pfeiffer College, Lenoir-Rhyne College, and Appalachian State University, and dedicated his career to education, serving as a teacher, coach, and school principal with the Gaston County School System until his retirement in 1990.

Bob proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956.

Bob was an active and faithful member of his community and First Baptist Church. He lived his entire life in Bessemer City, North Carolina, before moving to Wilmington in 2024, where he was able to enjoy the beauty of the coast and spend time near the water, reflecting his lifelong love of fishing.

Bob will be remembered for his leadership, dedication, kindness, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched as an educator, mentor, friend, and family man.
