captain robbie.
husband.
daddy.
granddaddy.
fisherman.
legend.
robbie was born april 27, 1960, in morehead city, nc. he was raised in wilmington, nc, where he passed away peacefully at home on august 31, 2026. he was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward Wolfe Sr. and mother, Carolyn Guthrie Wolfe.
he loved the ocean.
it was where he felt most at home.
he was a legend of a fisherman.
people came to him for all things fish.
he knew the signs of the sea.
he knew when the water was right.
when the weather was coming.
where to go.
when to stay.
but fishing was never his greatest legacy.
love was.
he married the catch of his life, teresa, on february 6, 1986.
he loved her fiercely.
he loved his twin girls, nicole and kristina, just as fiercely.
he always showed up.
for everything.
he taught his girls what love should look like.
how to be kind.
how to stand your ground.
and how to not take any shit.
he was bold.
genuine.
and hilarious.
he had a one-liner for everything.
“you know what i mean?!”
“chicks dig it!”
“would you rather walk to school or carry your lunch?!”
he didn’t take himself too seriously.
he liked things simple.
low key.
no froo froo.
give him a margarita.
his woman.
the pool.
and he was good.
then he became granddaddy.
and suddenly, simple got even better.
he gave his grandbabies ice cream.
blew bubbles.
played hard with them.
and of course, he took them fishing.
he wanted to watch them grow up.
more than anything.
because that was robbie.
he loved big.
he showed up.
and when you were his, you knew it.
and underneath it all was a faith that mattered deeply to him.
robbie loved jesus.
he wanted jesus to be proud of him.
he was a fisher of men, too.
That was the thing about robbie:
he spent his life knowing what mattered.
the water.
his family.
his people.
his faith.
he knew what was worth chasing.
and what was worth coming home to.
he leaves behind his loving wife, teresa.
his twin daughters and his sons in law, nicole and ben whittington; kristina wolfe morgan and joey morgan.
his grandchildren, greyson, raelynn, paxton fisher wolfe, and robert “robbie” wolfe morgan, his namesake.
his brother, chris wolfe.
and so many of the friends who became family.
he leaves behind stories.
laughter.
resilience.
loyalty.
and a whole lot of love.
his girls will tell you he was the best daddy. and they will tell you he loved their mommy so
good.
he showed them how they should be loved.
he was always present.
and that is the legacy he leaves with us.
red sky at night.
sailors delight.
the sea is calm.
the light is good.
and captain robbie is home.
we are so proud of you, daddy!
we love you. always.
