

Ron was born on May 14, 1942 in Queens, NY, son to Emil Joseph Koster and Dorothy Rita Farina Koster. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene “Renee” Koster; brothers-in-law, Pete Ganci and Charlie Giametta; his nephew, Keith Koster.
Ron worked as an Industrial Auctioneer and Appraiser, He graduated from the University of Bridgeport Connecticut in 1964, was a member of Alpha Gamma Phi Fraternity and attended the Basilica of Saint Mary in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was a devoted husband, loving father and a true friend. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Ron is survived by his children; Ronald J. Koster, Jr. (Nina), Kris Koster Talcott, Michael R. Koster and Courtney Ambrose; brother, Richard Koster (Eileen); sisters, Kathleen Ganci, Theresa Giametta and Cheryl Szilagy (Bob “Uncle Buck”); grandchildren: Cori Shaw, Matthew Talcott, R.J. Ambrose, Will Talcott, Jack Koster, Peyton Ambrose, Abigail Talcott, Autumn Ambrose, Caroline Koster and Taylor Talcott; great-grandchildren, Jaci and Myla; his sisters and brother-in-law, Kathy Haack, Deborah Anson and John (Cozy) Wiebe and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation for Ron will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
Funeral Service will start at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 30, 2023 in the Coble Chapel. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC, N.C. 28409.
In lieu of flowers, Ron was very passionate about helping others. Donations may be made to the following in Ron’s name; St Jude's Children's Hospital and the Red Cross both which he devoted his time and efforts.
