Visitation will be held at Andrew’s Mortuary on January 28 from 6-8 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at Andrew’s Funeral Home on January 29
at 11 a.m. with Reverend Father Ryszard Kolodziej, pastor from the Basilica
Shrine of St. Mary. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
Rosa was born in Havana, Cuba on July 28, 1924. She came to the United
States in 1956 and soon married her husband in Pascagoula, Mississippi. She
was a loving wife, mother and grandma (abuela) and dedicated her life to her
Catholic church, family and friends. She loved life, music and blessed all
that she touched. Rosa was famous for her Latino dances including the
limbo, mambo and cha cha cha. There was never a day where she wasn’t
singing, dancing, or making someone smile with a hug.
Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Mata Vazo and Pilar
Penichet Viera of Cuba. She has been preceded by her siblings. She had six
brothers: Reynaldo, Romulo, Evelio, Rene, Angel, and Gardenio; and three
sisters: Maria Teresa, Irmina and Delia.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Chief Charles Richard Ogle, US
Navy retired. Three children: John Ogle, Elizabeth Ogle-Anderson and her
husband Hunter, and Richard Ogle. Four grandchildren: Richard Ogle,
Nicole Anderson, Charlie Anderson, and Kinley Ogle.
The family of Rosa Ogle would like to thank the staff of Lower Cape Fear
LifeCare and especially Dr. Mark Meyer for their outstanding comfort and
care.
