

Ruth Leonard Fuller, 3937 Halifax Road, Wilmington, NC died Thursday, May 19, 2011. She was born December 6, 1923 in Wake County, North Carolina to the late Samuel Thomas and Martin Mangum Leonard. She was also predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Milton E. Fuller and her daughter, Linda Fuller Swartz. She was the last surviving of 13 siblings in the Leonard Family. She was a graduate of Millbrook High School and a member of Temple Baptist Church, Wilmington. She was a woman of great passion and conviction, selfless in caring for her first born Linda when she fell ill with MS for over 15 years of her life. Her garden was of special joy, and she never let a weed get the best of her. She loved to cook holiday dinners for 4 or 40, and was famous for her twin brother's dressing, and sweet potato casserole. She lived her life to the fullest, and never forgot a birthday or event and was quick to drop a note to say thank you, each with a personal letter from her heart. She will be missed by all… Mrs. Fuller is survived by her son, Randy Fuller, of Wilmington. Her grandchildren, Jay Swartz and his wife, Brenda of Ft Carson, Colorado, Dalynn Rollins and her husband, Michael of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Her great grandchildren: Joshua Swartz, Cole, Logan, and Ava Rollins, David and Amanda Herring and Daniel and Rachel Herring. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, May 27 at Andrews Mortuary Market St. Chapel from 6:00pm-8:00pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 11:00am at Temple Baptist Church in Wilmington, North Carolina. Entombment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends and family after at the family home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice or Temple Baptist Church in memory of Ruth L. Fuller.
