She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Janie Whalen, Eugene Trusko, and Lee Trusko
Ruth educated and nurtured children in her elementary school classrooms in Canton, OH, Wilmington, NC, Wallace, NC and as a studio teacher for school-aged children on multiple movie sets.
Since retiring, she has enjoyed traveling with Gary as they explored European and North American sights.
She is survived by her husband-ish, Gary McCoy, son Fred (Denise) Streszoff, daughter Stephanie (Ken) Opalenick, granddaughter Elizabeth Streszoff, her brother Al Trusko, and sister Barb Froncek.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
