Sadie Tucker Awad

Sadie is survived by her daughters Jacqueline Blake (Jeff) and Kimberly Parker (Steve). She was a cherished Nana to her three handsome grandsons Joshua Parker (Cora), Cody Parker (Erin) and Tucker Blake, whom she fondly referred to as her "Boy". She was also a loved great-grandmother to Levi Parker, Pistol Rogers and Memphis Parker. Surviving siblings are her sister Lillie Houston, brother George Tucker (Connie) and her baby sister Rachel "Sissy" Crumpler (Jay) and many nieces and nephews.

Sadie was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward Awad, parents Willie and Lizzie Tucker, brothers Durwood "Bud" Tucker, Will Tucker and her sister Eva Lewis and her grandchildren Noah and Lily Grace Hodge and Baby Cottle.

Pallbearers for our mom will be: Jeff Blake, Tucker Blake, Joshua Parker, Cody Parker, Levi Parker and Jimmy Crumpler.

We want to thank the staff at The Bluefield Memory Care of Leland and Liberty Hospice for the love and care they gave our mom. And a huge thank you to our step-mom, Raye Brinson. She is truly a blessing to our family and the care she gave our mom was amazing. We love you Raye.

Sadie's service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm and funeral beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow immediately afterwards at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Our mother was the strongest person we knew. She always put Kim and Jackie first and as the family grew her grandchildren and great-grandchildren became her joy. She loved harder than anyone and she she taught us to be strong independent women and to love unconditionally. We have lost our best friend and she will truly be missed on this side of heaven but we know that we will see her again.
