Sharon Louise Metcalfe

Sharon enjoyed gardening, reading, tutoring elementary school children, and volunteering for the church in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Leona McArdell; brothers, James Kingsley and Fred Kingsley; father, Harold Kingsley, and mother Frances Kingsley.

She is survived by her husband, John Metcalfe; daughter, Tina Gupton; son, John Tessier III; sister, Coral Younis; brothers, Robert Kingsley, David Steves, and John Steves; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Centers of North Carolina at Raleigh.
