Sharon Kay Shaffer, 79 of Leland, NC passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026. She was born in Dunkirk, Indiana to Lester Butcher and Ruth Fisher Butcher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dan Shaffer and sisters: Leslie Coffman and Delite Kiess.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Malin and husband Mark of Leland; sister Alpha Campbell and husband Jeff; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 10am until 11am on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Coble Funeral Chapel, 1155 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC. The Funeral Service will follow at 11am with Pastor Angelo Sanchez officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
