Sheila Mahon Brown

HAMPSTEAD ? Sheila Brown, 76, devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, died February 16. Sheila was born in Toronto, Ontario to the late John and Mary Mahon and was preceded in death by her husband John Brown. Sheila was a graduate of Loretto Abbey Catholic School. She moved to New York City during the late 1950?s where she was employed by American Airlines as a flight attendant. She enjoyed her time as a flight attendant and frequently shared stories about the interesting people she met. After marrying and having children, she became a naturalized U.S. citizen. Sheila had many interests including her passion for horses, swimming, reading and spending time with family and friends. Sheila is survived by two sons, Joel Brown of Hampstead, NC, and Sim Brown and wife Tracy of Zebulon NC, and grand daughter Sarah Brown. She is also survived by two sisters Mary Templin and Bridget Mahon of Toronto, Ontario and one brother, John Mahon of Toronto, Ontario. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
