She is survived by her life-partner Karl Schultz, with whom she made her home in Wilmington, NC, sister Andrea Doubek-Ridgely, brother Michael Doubek, and nephew Christopher Doubek as well as many extended family and close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Doubek in 2013.
