He was born in Dekalb, Illinois on March 30, 1968 to Dr. George and Mrs. Mary Gutierrez. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mary Gutierrez.
Steve loved his children, all 8 of them and his wife, Jessica more than anything in the whole world. When he wasn’t serving his family and took time for himself, he would go fishing, build something for his home out of wood, or sit on the beach. He loved watching his children play sports, teaching them how to do something, and taking his wife out to fun dinners. His legacy is leading all his children to have a personal relationship with Christ, serving others just as Jesus did, and putting himself last.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Gutierrez; children, Steven Isaac Gutierrez, Jacob Edward Gutierrez, Daniel Rudolph Gutierrez and daughter-in-law, Loren, Anna Rachel Gutierrez, Jenna Moneen Pahe, Grayson Alexander Pahe, Campbell Todd Pahe, and Connor Reid Pahe. He also is survived by his father, George Armando Gutierrez; sister Janet Gutierrez VanMeter, and nephews Marshall and Michael Vanderstappen. He also has many cousins, aunts, and uncles, and in-laws all throughout the United States and Peru. He also has 3 “puppies” that were his shadow.
