(Marianna) Sue Ward passed away in her sleep at the age of 86. Her husband, of 58 years, David Edwin Ward, preceded her in death. She was an avid crossword and jigsaw puzzler. Sue and David were the infamous recumbent biking couple around Wilmington NC. They rode their bikes as far as the Outer Banks as well as to the Great Smoky Mountains. She is survived by her daughter, Brigitte Ward-Sutkovs, her son-in-law, Daniel Sutkovs, and her granddaughter, Isabella Sutkovs.
A memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Basilica Shrine of St. Mary R.C. Church, Wilmington. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
