Thelma V. Stevens

Thelma V. Stevens, 65, of Wilmington, NC, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, Wilmington. She was born in Franklinton, NC, August 23, 1947, daughter of the late Louis Chester Vaughan and Irene Harris Vaughan. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, William "Bill" Stevens; children, Gloria Jean Stevens, Sherri Elizabeth Dawson both of Wilmington, Samantha Ann Stevens of Red Springs; and Thomas Ashley Stevens of Wilmington; grandchildren, Tabatha Ann Jones Luckett, Irene Elizabeth Stevens, Heather Christina Martin, Melissa Lee Joyner, Jonathan Dale Stevens, William Devan Stevens, Rick Anthony Montanez, Mason Scott Stevens, and Daniel Ray Stevens; a brother, Louis Terry Vaughan of Franklinton, NC; a sister, Brenda Louise Long of Wilmington; and many nieces and nephews. She is remembered by her family as a devoted wife and mother. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel with the family receiving friends at the mortuary starting at 6:00 p.m. until the service hour
