After completing his high school education, he became a dedicated employee of the National Cash Register Company and worked as a bookkeeper/accountant until his retirement. Thomas was the awesome caregiver to his mother until her passing in 1975. Thomas also resided in Aurora, Colorado; Santa rosa, California; El Paso, Texas; and Carefree, Arizona before moving to Arbor Landing Senior Residence, Hampstead, NC in June 2023 and then onto Stonebridge Woodbury Residence in December.
Uncle Tom was an amazing, gifted musician, who generously shared his talents playing the organ and singing in the choir at Catholic churches near his residences for many years. He was always ready to assist our family in times of need and was truly a faithful servant of God.
Tom was predeceased by his loving mother and father, Odelia and Patrick Bowen, brothers, Bernard, John, Vincent, and Virgil Bowen, niece, Patricia Kerr, nephew, Michael Bowen, great-niece, Gina Boggiano, and great-great-nephew, Andrew Fimbel.
Surviving to cherish his dear memory are nieces, Michelle Boggiano, Cheryl Goodwin (Jerry), Deb McEuen, JoAnn Drese (Jim), Maureen Jones (Dave), Mary Kay Corbin, Mary Fimbel (Richard), and many loving great-nieces and nephews, as well as several great-great-nieces and nephews.
Uncle Tom was a quiet, caring soul, who loved his Savior, Jesus Christ and all who were blessed to share in his life. He was truly a generous, selfless man, who will be tremendously missed and loved by all his family and friends.
Uncle Tom, may you rest peacefully and joyfully in your eternal home of Heaven.
