Timothy Wayne Howard

Tim was born in Rocky Mount, NC on May 20, 1957 where he lived for most of his life until moving to Wilmington area 15 years ago. Tim attended East Carolina University, worked in the family business: Bob Howard Shoes and after moving to Wilmington joined E.W. Godwin’s Sons in lumber sales.    He was a man of deep thought with a strong quest for knowledge and the love of nature, mankind and family; a truly good person with a big heart who cared passionately for his family, friends and those less fortunate.  Tim enjoyed skeet shooting at the Buccaneer Gun Club; kayaking with the Cape Fear River Watch and archery.

Tim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathy Proctor Howard, their son Blake Howard and son Ryan Howard and his fiancé Jara Herndon.  He is also survived by his brother Mike Howard and partner James Kouchinsky  and his sister-in-law Terry Hoyle and husband Tim Hoyle.  He leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews. Tim was predeceased by his parents Bob and Mary Howard and his brothers Steve and Andy Howard. 

A Celebration of life will be held with a visitation at 10:00 am and service following at 11:00 am Saturday February 1st.  at Andrews Mortuary & Crematory 4108 S College Rd, Wilmington, NC

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to : St Jude Children’s Hospital; 

The Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Dr Wilmington, NC 28401.
