It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tracey Page Gatlin, a bright and compassionate soul who left us on September 28, 2025, at the age of 40. Born in Mecklenburg, North Carolina, on February 12, 1985, to Nathan William and Deborah L. Page, Tracey was a vibrant spirit whose warmth touched everyone she met.
Known affectionately as the "glue" that held her family together, Tracey was an extraordinary woman of many talents and an extremely selfless heart. She was a devoted wife of 14 years to the love of her life, Ralph "Lee" Gatlin III, and the most loving and dedicated mother to their two beautiful children Ava and "L.J.". Her passion for life and family was evident in everything she did.
Tracey was a creative and organized force, with a talent for sewing, monogramming, painting, and drawing. She recently discovered a love for writing music and songs, a new outlet for her artistic expression. Her amazing ability to multitask was legendary; she could effortlessly manage a crying baby in one hand, a vacuum in the other, all while running a business. She was always "ahead of the game," and her thoughtful party-planning—including her daughters upcoming December birthday and son's January birthday—was a testament to her caring nature and forethought.
Tracey's generosity knew no bounds. She would drop everything to help others, whether it was offering a ride, running an errand, designing a website, or simply offering a few positive words of encouragement. Her family will forever cherish her memory and her immense capacity for love as a wife, mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, aunt, and friend.
Tracey's passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of those who loved her, but her family is determined to find strength in her memory and her loving example. Her spirit will live on through the many lives she touched, inspiring others to be better every day.
Tracey was preceded in death by her grandparents Delma and Evelyn Page, her grandfather William Ray Davis, and her grandfather Raeford L. Little.
Along with her parents, Tracey is survived by and lives on through her husband Ralph “Lee” Gatlin III, her daughter Avalyn “Ava” Marie Gatlin; her son Ralph “L. J.” Lee Gatlin IIII of Winnabow, North Carolina; Sister, Emily Page Murray and Son Eric William Murray of Weymouth, Massachusetts. Her Father-In-Law Ralph “Cookie” Lee Gatlin, Jr. and Mother-In-Law Patricia B. Gatlin of Leland, North Carolina and Grandmother Joyce B. Davis of Mt. Gilead, North Carolina.
Along with her loving immediate family, Tracey will be deeply missed by a wide circle of relatives, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind countless cherished friends who were an integral part of her life.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC, 20412.
