Born to the late Victor and Doris Grose, Vic was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and a lifelong, avid fan of UGA football. During his time at UGA, he was an active member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, forming lifelong bonds with his fraternity brothers. Following his college years, he honorably served his country in the Army National Guard, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Vic spent his professional career as a dedicated employee of Carolina Power and Light (CP&L). Following his retirement from CP&L, he co-founded and ran a successful property management company alongside two close friends for many years.
He was also a dedicated member of the Hanover Seaside Club, where he thoroughly enjoyed club activities and spending time at the beach—especially sitting on the porch to look at the water and watch his grandchildren surf and play in the sand.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Lockerman Grose; his children, Gibson Grose and Cornelia Ruttkay, and her husband, Sean. He is also survived by his "babies": grandchildren Nealie, Dax, and Augustus Ruttkay.
Vic will be laid to rest alongside his parents at Old Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen, North Carolina. To honor his wishes, graveside services will be private for the immediate family. A celebration of life will be planned and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Vic’s memory to the American Heart Association.
