Billy Hollis, 92, of Leland, NC, died Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. A Masonboro Sound native, he moved to Leland after the death of his wife, Martha.
He is preceded in death by their son, Tim and his brother, Donnie
Billy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Greg Farley of Belville, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Tammy Hollis of Rocky Point, NC; granddaughter and her husband, Jessica and Caleb Wilhite of Fredericksburg, VA; grandson and his wife, Chris and Hollie Hollis of Milton, PA; a great-grandson, Wyatt James; a sister, Marcia Hollis of Raleigh, NC; and a sister-in-law, Hilda Hollis of Atkinson, NC.
Private graveside services will be held for the family per Billy's request.
